Laundry - clever, functional design
Keeping it simple again with an all white palette, breaking it up with a few accessories here and there... and is that a tv in the centre? What a great idea - watch tv while ironing in the laundry. There is a lot of storage, a pull-out bench, double hanging for airing, drying or the finished ironing. This is a well thought out design (especially if you're tall!).

Kitchen - Warm and fresh
I love this kitchen! Even though it appears to be simple in design, there's actually a lot going on - that's what I call good design. The crisp white walls, benchtop and kickers frame the high gloss cabinet doors. The matt finish floorboards add depth to the room in soft shades of taupe. I love the super cool, white rangehood - yep, that's a rangehood (a simple yet effective design feature). The stunning pendant light fitting gives some personality and the wall lighting adds warms to a very stylish kitchen.

Bathroom - A breathe of fresh air!
Open, spacious, clean and minimal... just a few words to describe this elegant bathroom.
Glass, natural finishes and neutral tones, make for a long lasting bathroom - the owners won't need to update for years.

Kitchen - splash of colour
What a fun and playful kitchen - it's definitely not boring! The designer has utilized the small space extremely well by keeping the kitchen predominately white and adding splashes of colour for interest. There's not a great deal of bench space, but there's enough, helped by having a single kitchen sink. I love the simple pendant light fitting. Well styled!

Laundry - Simple and functional
Neutral tones, laminate cabinets with what appears to be a stone bench and splashback, has created a clean and simple, yet functional laundry. I'm not sure about the ipod dock, but all other accessories dress up the room, giving it a nice sense of style.

Not great, just nice
I really like the wall tiles and accessories. However, I'm not so sure about the floorboard/tiles and glass bricks. I'm not a fan of glass bricks - yuck!

Bedroom - Warm and Relaxed
I love carpet in bedrooms - it's so nice to get out of bed and walk on a soft and warm surface.
The sheers curtains, casual valance, duvet cover and soft tones make for a truly relaxed, but stylish bedroom.

Kitchen - Simple & Stylish
The Calacutta stone island bench with the natural hardwood timber floors, makes for an elegant and contemporary kitchen. Taupe has been introduced by picking up the tones from the stone... Island bench drawers are taupe and the other cabinets are white - the taupe benchtop and splashback pull it all together.

What you see in magazines and on TV programs such as The Block, Grand Designs etc., won't always be achieveable due to constraints such as existing roof/ceiling height, period features, expensive finishes and budget. Things that might look great in one home won't necessarily work in your home. It's important to look at what you have and what style you like and not necessarily to follow current trends.

Stylish, Minimal Bathroom
A minimal, glossy white bathroom with light natural timber floors and dark timber countertop, frames a beautiful view. I think the overall look is quite gorgeous with the drop in bath, however I do worry about all the different levels. Let's hope young children don't live here.

Hello!
I did some consulting work for a friend of a friend (let's call her Suzie) on her bathroom & living area nearly four years ago. My brief was to give her some concepts and space planning ideas. While catching up with my friend over the Christmas break, she mentioned that Suzie had still not made any changes. Apparently she is worried that she will spend a lot of money, make the wrong decisions and won't like the result. I have found that many people struggle with making decisions and taking the plunge on making changes to their homes.

Bedroom - Playful and Stylish
The Poliform 'Big Bed' is playful, yet ultra stylish. Clean lines are softened by curves. Adding a few key pieces, such as the pink throw, floral cushion, organic lamp and white side table adds some personality, creating an individual style and look.

Laundry - clean simple lines
Clean simple lines and the use of one neutral colour have created a functional, yet elegant laundry. Personalise by adding a touch of colour with the use of accessories, such as soak buckets (as above), peg tins, clothes basket, etc.

Kitchen - style and elegance
A simple, yet effective looking kitchen. I love the use of the taupe walls and polished concrete floor, which are highlighted by the matt white and wenge timber joinery. The organic pendant light, egg shaped chair and outdoor ferns soften the overall look of the room.
